New song "The Love for you."

by Lawrence 6/2/2008 1:18:00 PM

I've been working on a tune for the last 4 months off and on.  Lyrics plague me and take forever.   Eventually I'll record this, but at least this one is coming along.  This is about an old friend from high school.

The Love for you

            Verse: Emaj –Jimi style  -> C# min7

            Chorus: C# min7  -> B + C#min7 -> A + C#min7

            Bridge: E+High E5 open -> F#+High E5 open -> G# +High E5 open

I can’t take no more.

Can’t see you hurt yourself this way.

Don’t make me walk away.

Cause I can’t stand to see you this way.

Come on back to me, you ain’t feeling well,  Lay your pretty head down on me.

And let them tears fall until you see,  This ain’t no good for you, get off the street.

I don’t want you out there doing them things, that you do.

You are my special girl, you mean the world to me.

Why do you got to treat yourself this way?  Take care of yourself baby.

You know I’ve got nothing but love for you.  But I can’t enable you.

Come on back to me, you ain’t feeling well,  Lay your pretty head down on me.

And let them tears fall until you see,  This ain’t no good for you, get off the street.

Bridge:

The love for you.  Starts with you.

This love for you,  it starts with you.

This love for you,  it starts with you.

The love for you.  Let it come down on you.
